I lead the product, engineering, and security teams behind cybersecurity GRC platforms — microservices, agentic AI, and MCP systems — taking them from roadmap to production with regulators, banks, and operators of critical infrastructure, and turning compliance from cost center into competitive edge.

03 · Biography

The story so far.

From a frontend developer in Hyderabad to leading engineering and product for a regional cybersecurity platform — this is the arc.

Mohammad Umar is an engineering & product leader, AI advisor, and cloud technologist with over 13 years of experience designing, building, and operating secure, scalable web & mobile applications and intelligent technology products.

His career began in 2013 as a frontend developer in Hyderabad, India. Within two years he had moved to Deloitte India (US Offices) as a software engineer building enterprise workflow applications, then to Sysgain Inc, where he rose from Cloud Engineer to Lead Cloud Full Stack Engineer — designing Java and Node.js microservices on AWS and Azure, and leading cross-functional delivery teams across multiple customer engagements.

In 2019 he moved to the United Arab Emirates to take on a Lead Full Stack / SRE / DevOps role at Emirates, the global aviation flagship — building and running Java microservices and web & mobile platforms at carrier scale, with CI/CD, deployment automation, and reliability engineering across one of the world’s busiest digital estates.

In 2020 he joined DTS Solution (a Beyon Cyber company) as Head — Cybersecurity Product Development & Sr. DevSecOps Consultant, taking ownership of Complyan, the leading cybersecurity assurance platform in the region — a multi-tenant microservices architecture he has led from design through CI/CD, deployment, and scale. He has since led security tool implementations and professional services for central banks, financial & Islamic banking institutions, energy & critical infrastructure, large real estate groups, and enterprise clients including Deloitte Tax, CGI, and Oracle University.

In January 2026 he was appointed Director — Cybersecurity GRC Product & Technology Management, with end-to-end ownership of product vision, roadmap, and delivery strategy — leading cross-functional teams across product, engineering, and security. He is also leading the design and deployment of advanced AI-powered security platforms, including Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers, agentic AI, and next-gen AI-powered tools — with an emphasis on autonomy, security, reliability, and intelligent orchestration across enterprise environments.

As an AI strategy leader, he has driven a full AI transformation roadmap across his organization — re-platforming workflows, retraining engineering and product teams, and operationalizing agentic AI as a first-class part of how the team designs, ships, and supports product.

He is a certified Cloud Security & Solution Architect, DevSecOps Engineer, and HashiCorp Certified Terraform Developer. His technical stack spans Java & Spring Boot, Python, Go, JavaScript, Node.js, React, Angular, Ruby on Rails, microservices, Kubernetes & cloud-native deployment, and smart contracts.
